ST. JOHN’S CHOIR

We are a friendly all-age choir engaged in a ministry of uplifting worship at St. John’s.

We lead sung worship at the weekly 9:15 communion service and monthly evensong service, as well as festival services. Choral highlights of the year include our Advent carol service and Festival of Lessons and Carols. We also put on occasional concerts and sing at local community events.

We rehearse on Friday evenings from 7:30pm to 9pm. If you would like to come along to try it out, contact Sam, our music director, at samshackleton@keynshamparish.org.uk

There’s no audition to join — everyone can learn to sing, and the choir’s ministry is open to all. New members are expected to attend on at least two Fridays before singing with the choir in a service – and to have come to at least one service as a member of the congregation. Regular, predictable attendance is expected. Some members sing every Sunday while others commit to the monthly evening services and other special services. Members have the opportunity to sing at weddings if they wish.

Junior Choir & Minims

We have two groups for young singers - Minims for children in years 1 & 2, and a junior choir for children in year 3 and older. Click here to find out more…
